I sew. I have a 50 year old sewing habit. So I use thread and since I usually sew and machine embroider I use a lot of thread and then I look at a lot of thread for Vine. That means I have many, many threads to run. While many people use racks for their threads, I've found that this doesn't work for me. Filament racks expose the filament to dust and sunlight, which is very harmful to the filament. They also take up a lot of space that I don't have to spare. I like to use these organizers to store my threads so they don't get dusty or get exposed to the sun. I've found that most spools of regular and embroidery thread will work if the box is at least 2.2 inches high or close to it. My embroidery thread takes up the most height, so if you only sew with regular thread you can get away with a little less height in the organizer box. Other types of craft supplies, removable dividers are good for giving each section the right size you want. I also removed the first layer as it is too small and takes up the space I need for the thread. I really appreciate getting this organizer. Many Thanks.
