Review on πŸ§‚ Sockeroos Refillable Spice Mill: Solid Wood Salt and Pepper Grinder with Ceramic Rotor, Steel Core, and Adjustable Coarseness by Kenneth Stanford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprised how well it works!

We've seen a lot of pepper mills - the ones with a rotating handle, they just come loose and break sooner or later - battery operated, die too quickly and don't grind as well - pre-filled ones where you just twist the cap , there is not enough adjustment and pieces come out, this is not grinding. I recently found reviews of coffee grinders in Cook's Illustrated that a "good/great" grinder costs $35+! Then I saw this at Revain - for those of you who love freshly ground pepper this is a purchase you won't regret, especially for the price. The photos showing them in various locations are accurate and we love that we finally have some fresh, finely ground peppers. It's highly adjustable, large parts won't accidentally fall out, and it looks beautiful. Others have found that the cavity inside doesn't hold much, but actually it's not that bad and I think you should refill it more often to keep it fresher. I would definitely buy it as a gift for someone and maybe even our salt.
