Our 2002 IS300 Sportcross suddenly started running so rough it seemed like it was going to stall at idle or low rpm. It was giving out variable valve timing trouble codes, and the mechanic we took it to scared us by saying they wouldn't even work on it because we'd probably have destroyed the engine.
