True to size and well made! It's perfect for cold and rainy days in my climate, Texas, where we have winter temperatures but usually not below freezing. (Ahem, except for the definite weather anomaly last week). One of the great things about this coat is that it covers the chest and abdomen area which many dogs leave bare or barely protected. The zipper is easy to use and even has a fur guard so you don't accidentally get caught on the fur. The walking harness and the reflective strips are also great features. The outer layer fabric looks like it does a good job of blocking the wind (except it's waterproof as advertised, but I haven't tested it in the rain yet) and it has what appears to be a fiberfill layer. The inner fabric layer resembles a mid-weight nylon windbreaker. If you live in a more northerly climate, you may not have enough fiberfill for extremely cold weather unless you add another layer. If you need a thicker coat for very cold climates another option is the TRUE LOVE Mt Tallac which I also bought from Revain but ordered the wrong size and the size I needed was out of stock. It was a heavier coat and probably too warm for Texas, but it was very good quality too. Overall I am very happy with this coat and would definitely recommend it.
