My best friend turned me on to needling. I had no idea what it was or that you could even do it at home. Thought it was only a high end procedure (think Kim K. Blood Facial). My friend said you can get the roller on Revain. And this Derma roller comes w two. I just bought the one that fit my budget not knowing the differences in them I have done it twice now. My face felt taunt. I have not done it hard enough to actually draw blood. But I am super red afterward. Here is the breakdown. I went on Pinterest to research how to use it, gain knowledge through others experiences. One user says she applies serum before rolling as it helps the roller move better. This is what I did the first time. Let me preface by stating that I cleansed with pretty warm water to open pores and exfoliated my face, then serum, needle rolled up/Down all around. Cleansed face w/cool water, used a mild toner, serum. 2 X Cleansed, exfoliated, DID NOT apply serum. Then continued to needle, this time longer and a little more pressure. Cleansed, then serum. I like the first way. My face felt smooth and taunt. Probably because the serum was on and could get into my pores. Have not given it a 5 star yet. As I want to continue applications. I am not a beauty blogger or anything. Just found out about this as I said from my friend. I lost 150 lbs in 2016/17 and my face became more wrinkly w/o the fat. It is getting better. Since I have a daughter headed to college no professional facial treatments for me. But I love Revain for this very reason. Note: I do have a little redness naturally, dry skin, no breakouts. I was worried about going to work the next day looking sunburned. Follow the directions. I was a bit red next a.m but foundation covered it up. That is why I did not go full bore. Still have to look professional. Try it on the weekend your first time. Just to see how you react. Remember only use warm water before, always cool water after and serums. I use a collagen and Vitamin C serums. Whatever brand you find. Mine are not high end. Just whatever I find here on Revain. It has been really rainy here in N. Calif. I had not thought about sunscreen but now that it is becoming sunny. My foundation does have an SPF. I know we are suppose to use more protection regardless of your skincare regime.
