Last year I bought a heated dog bed for the winter. It failed after just a few months. I've only had it a few months but am already happy with it as a dog bed. Instead of just heating under my dog, it heats the entire kennel, meaning a happier pet. I put a thermometer in the kennel and on average it is 20-25 degrees warmer inside the kennel than outside. To be effective you need to attach your kennel. I added some plastic/rubber strips (overlapping) for the dog door. There's fanless heating, which means fewer parts to go wrong, but it doesn't heat up as well either, but I'm happy with the results.
