There are instructions, but they are best described as rudimentary. With significant trial and error, we were able to make the light work to meet our needs. However, there are many features we have not figured out. Here's a suggestion to the manufacturer, why not hire a native US English speaking technical writer for a few hundred bucks and produce the instruction manual that will be the envy of all your Chinese competitors. Maybe you will start a trend and create a much better experience for people who purchase your products. Just a thought.
