The skirt corresponds to the color in the photo and is well made. I usually wear a size 12-14 jeans and ordered XXL to be on the safe side. As soon as I saw it, it seemed small to me (at first I thought I was a kid size). She's smaller than I thought. I have curvy hips and a zipper, this skirt didn't go below the hips even with an elastic band. It wasn't easy to open, mostly because I didn't want to break the zipper. I got this for a Ravenclaw costume so it will work for a day but I won't be wearing it after Halloween, too bad because it's really good.
