Plastic is great once it's in place. Sticks to itself and stays in place. Good thickness. The downside was the app. Each time the handle was tipped sideways or flipped, the reel would attempt (and often succeed) to detach from the handle and fall to the ground. The product may not be designed to be used upside down, but I have worked with other products where orientation has not affected performance. Wouldn't buy again.
