This is the best sleeping bag ever made. The construction is very high quality and most importantly the material - merino wool - is incredibly soft. It doesn't even have the "woolly" prickliness of a good merino wool. It's literally as soft as an old worn cotton jersey t-shirt. However, it is thick, warm and breathable. For chilly nights, it's perfect for baby's comfortable sleep. Shoulder closures and a bottom zip make it easy to move your baby when going to bed. Baby can move, kick and turn in this sleeping bag but does not run the risk of suffocating from the usual thick blanket thrown over baby's face. We started from a size 2 newborn with our first child. Now we have a second child and he inherited this sleeping bag and we ordered the next size up. We wash this item like normal laundry, regardless of the washing instructions. There is warping caused by the dryer cycles, but we've made it come to the point where it doesn't shrink anymore. We beat this thing up, but its extremely high quality stands up to our abuse. We just don't have the time or patience to dry. If it gets wet in the morning, we need to wash it and dry it for our morning sleep. We really like this blanket. This is literally the best baby item we have because our two boys sleep so comfortably in it. We have spent money on other sleeping bags and they all had comfort issues.
