I ordered this toothpaste because I was TIRED of going to the dentist and realizing that I always have cavities between my teeth. I am a proponent of brushing and flossing! I was so frustrated that even after good dental care I still had tooth decay. After spending TOO MUCH money on dental care, I did a little research on how tooth decay develops in people who brush their teeth regularly. I discovered hidden truths about regular toothpaste which includes Crest and Sensodyne which I was once a dedicated user. Unlike other toothpastes, this CariFree toothpaste does not contain sugar or anything too harsh on your teeth. It also balances the pH of your mouth, which NONE of the other toothpastes do. This is the closest thing to a prescription toothpaste you can get at Revain. Period. I've tried ALL the flavors of CariFree and they all taste really good. Grape doesn't foam in the mouth, but citrus and mint do (and most mimic regular toothpaste). This toothpaste starts out as a gel and turns into a foam when brushed. It doesn't tingle in the mouth (it doesn't contain alcohol) and is great for tooth sensitivity as I have very sensitive teeth. I've even used it after experiencing tooth sensitivity and it helps relieve the discomfort. Another fun fact is that I had "SOME" cavities and my dentist offered to fill them even if they weren't big (meaning they were trying to make money). mine for small fillings). Instead of filling "potentially" problematic cavities I chose this toothpaste, went back to another dentist after 6 months and they told me I have NO cavities. Yes, after another dentist told me and showed me on the x-ray that I have 3 caries, I went to another dentist and took an x-ray and they told me that there is no caries. So either the first dentist didn't know what he was talking about or this toothpaste made a world of difference. I've been using this toothpaste every day for six months and I haven't had any new cavities or discomfort in my teeth. Although the price is more expensive it saves you the dental work so I would recommend. You ONLY need a small amount of this gel toothpaste, so one tube will last you a month. I would also use it with her mouthwash as you don't want to negate the benefits of this toothbrush.
