Review on 🎸 JOYO JW-03 2.4GHz Wireless Guitar System - 4 Channel Transmitter Receiver with Rechargeable Lithium Battery for Electric Guitar Bass and Audio Instruments by Chelsea Hernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great wireless system for the price

I have a Boss WL-50 and used it for comparison ( Note that the Boss system is $220 versus $50 for Joyo) and was really impressed. The range of this system, ease of use, etc. is on par with Boss. The only downside I had to tuning the Joyo is the little white noise that comes out when you actually play the instrument. You can hear it well when I pass the bass through my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 or AG 700, ie bass through a quiet solid state amplifier. When I ran the guitar through my Sonzera 20 tube combo, there was almost no hiss, even on clean settings. That being said, I'd like to play guitar with it, maybe not bass. Some of the common benefits of a wireless system for home use are a game changer. While practicing you don't have to fiddle with cables, get up and have a drink without removing your guitar, switch guitars without having to mute or turn off your amp (just flip the switch on the transmitter and plug in the next one, that's all reason enough to spend 50 bucks.. just going out live live and checking the sound is gigantic I also have to say that my boss system wasn't perfect either, I had to send my transmitter back to Roland when it died completely after that Have owned it for about 3 years months (due to Covid lockdown, no hard work) And another unexpected benefit of wireless: if you have a guitar or bass that isn't quite shielded, wireless saves you from the background noise you might get through a wired connection.

Pros
  • User friendly - reversible USB cable can charge transmitter and receiver simultaneously, easily switch between 4 signal channels
Cons
  • Not bad but...
