After first use I was willing to give this item a very enthusiastic 5 star rating because it was so easy to use and compresses almost any clothing item that I need a week-long trip abroad that fits in less than half my suitcase. I was very impressed and happy with my purchase and for the price I would have easily bought several others. I particularly liked the flexibility of being able to slide the pouch down or compress the contents with a vacuum. It was way better than other rolled bags I've bought, especially for jeans that are difficult to roll up and more formal wear that wrinkles easily. the supplied plastic zipper (which didn't seem very sharp at the bottom ends) and cut the bag right through the side! The bag wasn't overcrowded (the contents were just below the maximum capacity line) and I didn't have to strain at all to close it all the way. Obviously a torn package is a useless package when it comes to packaging and compressing content. I'd rather pay $5 more for a thicker plastic on the main bag to prevent tearing and maybe a stronger ripstop material next to the zipper or a zipper that makes direct contact with the bag only for the gasket. Article. A word of caution to anyone thinking of buying this bag or any others like it: either don't buy it and look for something more durable, or be very careful when zipping it up. Once you seal it up it works exceptionally well and is exactly as advertised but in my opinion they should have worked better on their production to keep them from cracking.
