This hat looks very cute but is 100% useless in very cold conditions. I tried 2 days in a row in the cold Wisconsin winter conditions and failed miserably. It only works if you have a hood or balaclava underneath, otherwise it's useless on its own. This hat only works in temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit and with no wind. It neither warms the ears nor the forehead, and at the slightest wind the head blows with cold. I picked up this hat to wear on my trek to Everest Base Camp and I'm so glad I tried it here before finding out what a flop it was there.
