Bought a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis that ran fine but didn't have the power I was looking for and pressing the pedal to the floor to accelerate or accelerate gave a misfire code that went away when you let off the gas. I unscrewed the spark plugs and found that they were covered in a crust, indicating incomplete combustion. I ordered these ignition coils and original spark plugs (Motorcraft Iridium) and after fitting them my old wheezing granny's car turned into another beast. I still get the occasional tire squeal at intersections due to power differences. I'm very happy with the results so far, but (and a big but) it's only been a few weeks and the real test of a part's quality is how it holds up over time. We'll see, but so far impressions are positive. Dialectical lubrication was a nice bonus. Edit: A year later the coils are still working. So far no complaints.
