I only give 3 stars but will update when I use it. Facts: I have been a reef guard for over 18 years. My current tank is about 4 years old (150 gallons, everything went from 55 gallons). I have never used sand up to 150 gallons. Initially I had a cyanide rash and I cured it with RedSlime remover. I recently had another cyanobacteria outbreak and a hair algae outbreak. I chose the Prodibio Reef Kit. Cyano cleared up completely in a few weeks. Brushing my teeth with a toothbrush every two weeks helped prevent algae growth and visibly reduced it after the first batch. However, after completing the second batch, I still have algae in my hair. I dose every week (not every two). My phosphate levels range from 0 to 0.03 and I use a reactor phosphate remover. I think I have a phosphate build up due to a two part dosing where the phosphate has started to stick to calcium deposits (there is calcium deposits everywhere and due to calcium precipitation). I never had such outbreaks of hair algae until I used two pieces. In any case, the corals react to the reef booster. I dose the Reefbooster alone and in the evening. I leave the protein skimmer off overnight after dosing. If the skimmer turns on again, you'll need to reduce the oxygen flow or you'll get an overflow. I can't say it pulls out more manure because my skimmer is already doing its job well. It is important to read the dosing instructions for each product and I do not recommend dosing all of the products at once, although it is possible. However, I think you'll get better results if you rotate products week to week. Overall I find it expensive for the aquarium I have. For a tank under 55 gallons this would be more cost effective. (By the way, nitrates are down to 0 since using the product) Monthly water changes already keep them down, but I think Prodibio helps with nitrates. **Update** I added Biooptim a week after Biodigest addition and film production. on the glass has decreased significantly this week and the water has become noticeably clearer. The protein skimmer was switched off for 24 hours. The number of algae continues to decrease.
