Review on Compact Bamboo End Table with Drawers and Open Storage Shelf by Nnewvante - Ideal for Small Spaces by Debbie Rossi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality; hard bamboo (similar to hard wood); metal locks and hardware; Durable

Legitimate and good quality. This is a simple plain table and quite small but of good quality. m goes well with bamboo; Bamboo is a good material, and properly finished it looks like hardwood.) It is assembled with cam locks and bolts. Cam locks are made of metal, the parts to which the cam locks are attached are made of metal, and the furniture fittings into which the bolts are screwed are also made of metal. The screws that hold the cam locks are metal, but the part that screws into the wood is plastic. Then the bolts that the cam locks go on have a plastic strap wrapped around the bolt in the middle. It's basically a gasket that prevents overtightening, not structural. Much of the woodwork is of a high quality material (bamboo, not wood, but it looks very much like solid wood) and the fasteners that hold it together are almost entirely metal rather than plastic. Also, the bottom of the crate is plywood, so there's no chipboard even in the most hidden places. Good quality. Construction/Assembly: You need to assemble this. It's pretty simple and clear. The only thing that was difficult was this. The pieces of wood on the sides near the top that have drawer slides have a specific orientation that they should be in. I installed them upside down at first, although the instructions write a lot about which side goes down and which side goes up. high. Then when I tried to thread the screws up through them to hold the top, I realized I had flipped them over. So I recommend when tightening them consider threading screws through them to screw into the top. There are holes for the screws and one end of the holes is large enough for the screw head to sink in and hide - the edge with the large holes should be on the bottom of the sides when fully assembled. The instructions say most of the hole is down. Also, the instructions skipped a step and didn't say how to attach the top to it, but once you get there it should be obvious. All in all, since it's solid wood and only a few parts to assemble, it's not too bad. Also, all the holes lined up perfectly so I didn't have to fiddle around or press anything. The assembly went smoothly. It's a one-man job, and you don't even need a pair of spare hands. If you are mechanically savvy or good at furniture making I think you will be fine. The only way to make it easier is if it comes pre-assembled. Classification: two shelves are not adjustable. The drawer sits on simple wooden glides and can be pulled out all the way to get straight out of the table. Finish: Lead had a smooth, even surface. I got the color "Dark Walnut" which is a dark brown stain. Size: I am the promised size. "23.6" H x 23.6" x 11.8" W/D is an exact match between the product description and the actual chart. I have another bedside table the same size and the size is perfect for the other side of the bed so I'm glad it's perfect for the room and also perfect for my other table for a balanced eclectic look. Price: Now it's one hundred and twelve dollars. It's honest. It is of comparable quality and size to parawood furniture (rubber wood) and worth it. You can get similar quality for less with the you-find finish, but furniture finishes aren't for everyone. In general the quality is good. The assembly is fine and the instructions are quite good (large clear diagrams and short written instructions only in the parts where they are needed). The finished table corresponds to the description, looks good and makes a stable impression. I'm a snob when it comes to solid wood and good things that are made to last and I love that. Nnewvante is an unnamed brand but the table is really good.
