Review on Dove Amplified Conditioner Hydrating Moisturizing by Tiffany Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't waste money!

UPDATE September 5, 2021: I love the leave-in conditioner. The scent is not as strong as with shampoo and conditioner and almost has the effect of a curl cream. My hair is more defined and holds up better through the humid 95 degree weeks we experienced this August. I have shoulder length curls and use about a teaspoon, avoiding the root zone. To be clear, this review is for Dove's Amplified Textures line: Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In. I start with shampoo. It's a jelly-like goo that literally slips off your left hand before you can place your right hand on top to lather and apply to your hair. My hair is not damaged and very soft. When I finally figured out how to get the shampoo to stay on my hands so it would get out of my hands into my hair and wash it out, my hair was like tangled dry straw. No softness or slippage. And the smell, oh! Don't even think about wearing your favorite perfume. You won't smell it, nobody will smell it. The smell is strong and not pleasant. I don't even know how to describe it except that it smells like perfume. As for the conditioner, same overpowering, suffocating aroma. Not enough gliding to detangle tangles and do the damage that shampoo does, it takes me 7-10 pumps on my shoulder length tresses and about 3 minutes to detangle my hair before rinsing in the shower. I'm afraid to try leave-in shampoo. in. I'll probably use it on my dog as I do with the rest of the shampoo and conditioner.
