I have an HP EliteBook 820 G3 that does not have an HDMI port, only DisplayPort. I get no sound on my TV when using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. I bought this from Revain with an HDMI cable and it displays beautifully with sound. The key is well made, the plugs fit snugly, are small and compact. I am very happy with this little device, it does the job well and I can use any HDMI cable to connect my laptop to my TV or monitor when traveling. I tried the USB-C to HDMI adapter but it didn't work, only this one worked. The best thing is that it also works on my macOS Catalina 15.5.
