They're bigger than I expected, but the spring-loaded opening mechanism makes them easy to use. However if you have small hands you may have a hard time with them. The blades are thin and sharp and cut very well. I have a few other "regular" kitchen scissors that I have used for years and while I like them I have to admit that they are better and not just because they are newer - I think they just have the best Design (same again if you have small hands). Note: the blades are magnetic so you can hang them on some tape if you like (I do), although the shape is such that you need to mount them properly to keep them firmly in place. However, it's not difficult to do, and the fact of the matter is that it works.
