Review on Tiger JAX-T10U-K 5.5-Cup (Uncooked) Micom Stainless Steel Black Rice Cooker with Food Steamer & Slow Cooker by Ronald Cambridge

Our 9 year old traditional rice cooker (also from Tiger Corp) was getting dusty. I was looking for another Japanese made rice cooker and wanted something with more features like a timer and less countertop space. This new Tiger rice cooker was just what I needed. It has a microcomputer, 2 timer settings and cooks brown rice to perfection. It had different settings for different grains of rice, porridge is cooked and there is a multicooker function. The (I think) teflon coated pan ensures the rice doesn't stick to the bottom and the tiny grooves on the rice spoon keep the rice from sticking to the spoon. The instruction manual corresponds to a menu in a Syrniki factory.
