This was a Christmas present for my son last year. Remember there are 2 sizes - the smaller one is for kids (my son is 12). He rode his cousin's Ripstick and loved it so I decided to get him one. It took a while to get used to - much more difficult than a skateboard as there was only one wheel front and back. But a day or two later he had it and has been rushing back and forth ever since. I bought it for him in anticipation of his snowboard trip for Christmas. We just got back from our trip and although it is different from a snowboard as the central pivot allows two feet to move in opposite directions which is different from a snowboard I believe it helped him with his balance and hip movement, what both have in common. My son is delighted with this product!
