I bought these to replace an old iOttie window mount that broke. The old mount held up well, but one of the clamp lugs broke. The old model was discontinued but I bought this one hoping it would perform well. And boy was it great. It sticks firmly to the windshield and the phone mount is solid. I use it to store an old smartphone that I use as a dash cam. This mount is so solidly made and snaps into place so well that the phone hardly vibrates and provides clear and stable video. Really impressive because I thought the long arm was shaking a lot. It's not like this. The connection of the lever to a ratchet so that the handle does not move or wobble when tightened. Great mount for my purposes. Of course, I can also use it to mount my current mobile phone for navigation.
