Go more expensive. I bought this monitor for my little brother who went from VGA 600x400 (roughly) to 1080p so obviously this is a huge upgrade for him. That being said, I see clear benefits in monitors that are $50-$70 more expensive. It's a great monitor for the price though. It's not a good price to look at 1080p displays. If you have an extra budget but are just stingy or saving - choose the best monitor, you'll thank me later.
