Review on 🔀 C2G 41015 High Isolation AB Switch, Black: Efficiently Manage Multiple Input Devices with Ease by Justin Metz

When I received this switch I was quite surprised at how heavy it was. Not bad, but just gives a very good idea that this is a well built, robust switch that claims to reflect an internal design that provides good isolation for the 3 terminals. Compared to other A/B switches I've bought in the past, this one was 2 or 3 times the weight. I bought it for a slightly unconventional use for which it works great. As a Comcast cable internet subscriber, I have been very frustrated with the various loss of service I have experienced. Maybe not much for cable, but compared to the old DSL service I had without a break for many years, cable pales in comparison. After "cutting the cable" for everything but internet service and returning all equipment, including the gateway router, I bought a Netgear router that looks exactly like Comcast's. None of the routers have a power switch, but you often have to turn off the power to try to restore service, and often the same is true for coax connections. cumbersome to disconnect the cable. I've used patch type patch cords before, but I just feel like there's higher integrity in a screw connection. To make it MUCH easier to completely shut down my router, I purchased a built-in lamp switch that I installed on the power cord. , and this A/B switch is used as a cable switch. To do this, the cable line is connected to side A of the switch and a terminating resistor is placed on side B. I then made a short 8 inch coax cable to connect to the TV out jack and this cable then connects to the router. So, to turn off the router completely, I switch to input B on the switch and turn off the power with the lamp switch. It's running like a champ and during service outages it's now much easier to work with.
