In the end we got those lamps back but we didn't hate them. For the price the lights are great but the design is lacking. PLEASE NOTE: These lanterns are large, please check dimensions before ordering. You cannot chain several together. The cord protrudes from the side edge, making it highly visible and causing the light to be heavier on one side. With the supplied chains it is not possible to hang the lamps in a balanced way. The lamps give good light and the remote allows you to set the timer and do basic settings including syncing multiple lights with one remote. Our fish tank is the focal point in our home and we couldn't find a way to hang these lights that didn't look wicked. If the manufacturer had made adjustments to balance the light and moved the cord back, they could have ticked all the boxes.
