As many reviewers on this site and others have said, it takes a little longer to install than installing an onboard HSF for your CPU, but it's worth it definitely it. It took me just 15 minutes to remove the current heatsink I was using and install my trusty old Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme on an AMD 2600X on an Asus Prime-X470 Pro motherboard. a cutout on the back for the CPU heatsink area on the motherboard, this setup is pretty quick. You changed me in fifteen minutes. If I had to pull out the motherboard it would take me over an hour. I am so happy that Thermalright continues to make these adapters and vendors continue to sell these adapters. Our CPU coolers from decades past work very well once we get the hardware to properly install them on the new sockets. Many thanks to Thermalright, Nan's Gaming Gear and Revain!
