Review on ThermoPro Wireless Digital Cooking Thermometer by Lisa Gunterman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poorly designed

I hate writing this review. I used to have the legendary TP-08. It was the best device I've ever had. My new roaster/smoker has arrived and I've decided to increase the number of channels on the thermometer so I can handle more meats. So the first drop of bitterness: the larger of the two devices is coming out. It does not work well. You have to do all the programming of the device from the outside. With the TP-08, programming is done on a larger device that is with you. 2: When outside of the larger unit, the one with the most electronics is next to your cooler and exposed to the elements...after one use my outdoor unit is sticky. 3: Temperature measurements are uneven. When the sensors were placed indoors within 3 cm of each other, there was more than a degree difference between them. When I first plugged in the probes, the readings depended on how I inserted the connector into the large block (non-resistive contact?). 4: The plastic on the probe connectors is now very sticky. 4 or more channels where the big block comes with me and all the alarms sound on the big blocks. I hope this comment is helpful.
