Just replaced my traditional lighted magnifying mirror with this one. I don't know what magnification the old one had, but it's nowhere near that, which is 15x. Now, with incredible magnification, I can really see every broken hair and wrinkle without even wearing glasses (trifocals). I couldn't see squats in another mirror without my glasses and they blocked my full view of my eyebrows - thus defeating the whole reason I used a magnifying mirror! I didn't know what I was missing... It was a little alarming at first - I'm not going to lie. I've been walking around without knowing anything about automatic functions for quite some time. However, after I convinced myself that other people wouldn't see my face at 15x magnification, I got to work. I tugged at my skin a bit and then sternly reminded myself to wash my face, use retinol etc, and put on sunscreen daily. Applying makeup is now incredibly accurate. No unblended foundation or mascara is missing. Eyebrows in place! The mirror itself will stick to a clean mirror and stay in place. The light is super bright. Powered by USB or batteries is a good option. You have to keep your face close to see what makes sense. There is still plenty of room for your hand to pluck or apply makeup. The 8-inch mirror has a neutral enough design not to be distracting. It was a great purchase at a very reasonable price. Anyone who uses cosmetics or skincare, bifocals or not, will love this mirror.
