Poor performance with similar memory

Bought to work on an old Dell computer. Worked fine in the PC itself but not with 4GB, presumably the exact same memory that was in the PC (all the same on the label etc). I ended up sending it back and ordered 8GB from the same manufacturer. If you add storage, you should take this into account. 8GB was only a few dollars more expensive.

Pros
