I use it every time before I play something. This includes turning the pages. That's what it's for. And it does a great job. It's not going to clean up this dirty thrift store find, nor is it intended to. There are other solutions for a more thorough cleaning. It's amazing how much dust this thing can collect and how much dust can accumulate between games. A couple of times in a circle is enough and I use the pen/cover to shake the dust off the brush. After a few years, some of the lettering has worn off, but the brush is still fine.
