I use a lighter several times a day. Not for lighting tobacco products but for lighting incense sticks in my house. That's why I don't always have a lighter in my pocket. However, for those of you who carry a lighter in your pocket every day, this will probably sound familiar. This lighter isn't the squat, wide version that feels like the old Zippo we've carried in the past. It's thin and long and feels like a bic lighter in your pocket. But it will NOT spill all the butane if it's in your pocket upside down. Mine is gloss black. I'm not a fan of fashion, but those who are slanted in that direction will probably like her looks. On the front "thin" side it has a "display" with 4 LEDs that shows how much energy is left in the battery. It also has a dome light that shows where to press to light up the dual reticle arcs. Mine burns for about 8 seconds which is enough to ignite the smoke and 90% of the time it's enough to light an incense stick. If not, just close the lid, open it and press the button again for another 8 seconds. Battery life depends on how often you turn it on, but it easily lasts a full day and charges in just minutes for immediate use, or from full to full in just over an hour. I am 70 years old. years and from a less technological era, but I like the advent of electronic lighters. No need to search for a bottle of butane or, for goodness sake, a can of lighter fluid. Although I have to admit that the smell of an old can of Roncinol brings back a lot of memories of filling my mom's lighters as a kid. Yes, they can run out of "juice". But the same goes for your phone or bic lighter. Bic you toss in the trash ends up in the landfill, where they wait for centuries to be broken down - if that ever really happens. Simply charge new electronic lighters and keep using them. Again and again. I'm not a radical tree lover, but anything, ANYTHING we can do to reduce waste is, at least in my opinion, a good thing. I have dealt with this supplier on a number of occasions in the past and can confirm that in the rare event that something goes wrong they stand behind their guarantee. $15-$20 might seem like a lot for a lighter, but how much would you spend on disposable lighters over the course of a few years? I personally think this is the best deal. If you decide to buy it, you will be satisfied with it. Hold your breath guys.
