My Blue Heeler is considered a medium to large sized dog on most Amazon products. My order came with two magic "do not iron" stickers and the D-ring was metal, not plastic. The actual velcro was too short so I'd say you can't adjust it - it's just for closing that area in the same place. The belt buckles are very wide and stiff in a poorly designed spot, uncomfortable for a lying dog as the backpacks are on the side and the hard clip is on the stomach. They also slip out of position, and there's no built-in Velcro to keep the extra strap from dangling like some other brands. The material is strong and tough, not easily torn by spikes, but you sacrifice breathability with that benefit. . The pockets are large with a drain hole as it is not a waterproof material. The drain hole has a rising lip so I hope it still dries well and doesn't rust. It was too big for my 42 lb dog. Revain penalizes too many returns, so I plan on keeping these, flaws and all. I think it's better for emergencies than everyday comfort and utility. I think selling custom length straps will solve the biggest design problems.
