I bought this for my tiny house because of its 12v power requirement and its size (came in a tiny box). My house is completely off the grid and my solar generator meets my energy needs, I had to fiddle with the right mount because the fan has decent torque when first started, and I added an on/off switch between the fan and the battery pack because I don't plan to to let him run all the time. It doesn't move much air but works for my needs without much noise. As with anything solar powered, be aware of the current used and if the battery drains below 50% after a short period of time, you may have a bad device and need to be replaced.
