I originally bought a competitor's scanner, it was a mistake. I returned this scanner and bought XTool D8BT. I had an urgent need to reset the airbag indicator on a 2003 Mini Cooper; done within 15 minutes after receiving D8BT! After the first successful start, I connected the D8BT to my Mercedes. This is a Canadian model exported to the USA. I had problems with the air conditioning and had to check the mixed doors. I went to the activation page and was able to test every mixed door in the car. I could see each of them open, closed and percentages between them. To do this manually, you need to disassemble the entire dashboard. Trust me, this is something you don't want to do voluntarily. I then checked the A/C pressure with the live data page and sure enough I was on freon. I was able to fill the system with freon and watch the pressure normalize in real data. My air conditioner is now freezing! Then I tried the coding section on my Mercedes. As I said above, my Mercedes is a Canadian model, so I couldn't turn off the headlights even if I was just sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to pick me up. Coding complete, I now control my headlights. My friend had to go to the dealer to do the same thing, it cost him 2 hours of labor and $280. The next D8BT trick was to add clock correction to my sensor cluster. Normally the clock is set using the radio but the previous owner replaced the radio and I had to wait until noon or midnight and disconnect the battery to set the correct time. No longer! Now I can set my clock at any time from the dashboard menu. Even if you're a DIYer like me, this tool can save you $1,000 off the dealer's cost. The scanner has retail-level performance but at an affordable price. I cannot recommend D8BT enough!
