Review on Corsair XMS3 PC3 10666 240 Pin Memory by Flavio Scarola

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great upgrade, improved performance

I bought two of these 8GB packs (4 of them, 16GB total) to replace the four 2GB memory modules that came with my PC. Since I'm running an Intel Core i7 processor with Windows 7 Home Premium, I knew that although the specs say this desktop can support 32GB of RAM, the operating system only uses 16GB, so there's no need to add more than 16GB . before adding memory to your PC or laptop.) The memory comes in Corsair retail packaging. Easy to install and all 4 memory modules were recognized by my system right after a reboot. Already set to 1333MHz, there was nothing to do in my PC's BIOS. Plug-n-Play compatible and promised functionality. Although the Windows rating hasn't changed on my PC (it always considers the lowest score to be the main score - my graphics card), the performance gain when browsing the web was noticeable. Network. Different browsers provided different results. Surprisingly, IE was very fast, followed by Opera and Firefox. I usually use Google Chrome and it turned out to be the slowest. Photos and videos open faster and loading times are slightly reduced. The gaming experience has been greatly improved, especially when other programs such as Windows Media Player are running in the background. The system works great with the new memory and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger and bought this upgrade. The cost was prohibitive when I bought this system two years ago, but at today's prices this is an easy do-it-yourself upgrade that will increase the performance of your system and give you more enjoyment.
