We have nothing but good things to say about these lamps! They are simply inserted into the false ceiling grid and the wiring is very simple. We removed 11 built-in lights and thought we'd replace them with 8 of the same lights. We quickly found that 4 lamps was enough for our 23ft x 15ft family room in the basement. You will not regret buying these lamps. Longevity is unknown as we only have them for a little over a month.
