Unstable under heavy CPU load, NO workstation board

This board looks great on paper, but if you plan to use it on a workstation you may run into serious stability issues. I tried using it with a Threadripper 3990x AMD processor and 256GB of Crucial ECC unbuffered RAM. Both parts correspond to the specifications of the board. The board was running the latest available BIOS (version F4l) with "optimized defaults" recommended by the BIOS itself. The operating system was Linux, openSuSE Leap 15.2. It was stable for everyday tasks like browsing, text editing, etc. But when I booted all the kernels by compiling the Linux kernel in parallel to 64 kernels, the system crashed with a black screen for a minute. A lot of "machine check errors" were thrown for each core. Compiling sequentially when only one kernel was loaded caused no problems. I tested the sticks with memtest86 running the tests on different separate cores and they were fine whether I use one stick or all at once. In turn, running memtest86 in parallel with many concerns will result in many errors. The power supply was more than adequate (1500 W) and the CPU temperature was well below the throttling threshold (70 ยฐC). It looks like there is a problem with the board that provides enough power to the processor or with BIOS bugs. Gigabyte support is very slow and I'm still awaiting their reply although I didn't hold my breath for a revelation. If you're building a gaming console (although you'll most likely need such a powerful processor for that purpose), you'll probably be fine since most of the workload is on the GPU, not the CPU. PS 2021-01-11. It's been a week since I contacted gigabyte support, still no response. I tried to refund the fee because Revine assured that it can be refunded until January 31st. It turned out that the return would be $180. I'm guessing the missing box is worth the rest of $670 :))) Bottom line - you're doing your homework on Gigabyte products and don't expect Revain to take back the lemon they sold you. There are similar motherboards from ASUS, judging by internet research they are more stable.
