An 8 year old boy weighing 73 pounds fits well in this jacket with little room to grow. This is a mid-weight jacket suitable for the New York winter. YKK zipper closes smoothly. The jacket closes with a zipper at the neck. Especially good for boys who hate wearing scarves. The buttons are easy to open and close. The cuffs on the sleeves are particularly pleasant on cold winter days. Sherpa lining at the hat and hem of the jacket to keep you warm. Great length for windy days as it covers the bottom. Center side pockets with button closure. Washes and dries well, doesn't shrink. I machine wash in cold water. Air dry for a day, then tumble dry on the second lowest setting for about 1 hour.
