Review on ๐Ÿงน SE 110โ€ Telescopic Microfiber Duster: Ultra-efficient Cleaning Solution - EBD2604-110 by Tanika Spencer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Collects dust. Uncomfortable.

We have five ceiling fans in our house and they are cleaned about twice a year because they are mostly out of sight and not used often. The first thing I did with this rag was a set of dust bags. The only thing I immediately liked was the range. The telescoping handle is long enough to reach almost anything that requires attention. But that's where the positives end. Judging by the photo, the dust is gathering. But the microfibers stick to anything that sticks out of what you're cleaning. The housing around the fan motor has fiber entanglement on all five fans. On products with woven panels, small pieces of weave were attached to the fibers. Combined with the fact that the shoe is non-locking (it rotates a full 360 degrees without stopping), it cannot be pulled down the full length of the fan blade without rotating sideways. Then the question arises of what to do after the dust is collected. The dust nozzle is not removable, so it cannot be thrown into the washing machine. I suppose you could hand wash it in a stationary bath but that seems like a lot of work. A final note is that the dust cap is too thick to get into some of the nooks and crannies of the living room audio components. Simply put, it will never replace the Swifter Duster that has been handling all of these challenges and challenges for years. I cannot recommend this as a replacement for the rag you can buy at your local grocery store. It's just not worth it.
