I also have the 599xx Evo steering wheel got bearing 458 Italia wheels for my base TX and I have since sold them and bought this TM 28 GT. The 599XX was amazing, I hate suede wheels. Thrustmaster WILL MAKE A ROUND LEATHER WHEEL SIZE 599XX. I didn't like the flat bottom and suede material and chunky cross. Honestly, Italia was just a new bike. However, this bike seems to be the best of both worlds. I wish it was 11.8 inches like the 599XX, but unfortunately it's 11 inches. The leather feels great but the stitching is uneven and the yellow stripe down the middle is foam rubber? I literally touched it with my fingertip and it started to dissolve inside me. How really? The quality of this tape is terrible. I had to wrap it with tape to prevent more damage. $150 for this level of quality? I would say the D-Pad on these bars is clicky and more precise than the old 599XX. I'm not sure if Thrustmaster has changed all the d-pads since they bought the 599XX in 2017, but it's better that way anyway. It looks like if I want better handlebars I'll have to upgrade to a TS-PC Racer or TS-XW so the motor can put out enough power for a full size wheel like the Sparco brands that have them release. I've tried adapters with full size 330mm wheels and it's too much for TX/T300 bases. Thrustmaster again, please make better leather rims. If I ever break my TX base I'm tempted to go the Fanatec route instead just based on the range and quality they bring.
