I teach cutting and sewing courses in a small suburban village. We cannot afford expensive equipment, so we chose an affordable and productive Singer. Bought several at once. Beginners can easily cope with them, the machines are easy to set up, comfortable, light and quiet. Even when everyone is working, the noise is minimal. Its pros: Many different stitches, different stitch lengths, as a substitute for overlock - a tight zigzag. Cons below: Slightly tightens the bottom layer when sewing thick fabrics. I'm trying to reconfigure.
