This is my first ratchet strap and I'm very happy with it. He is very manly and strong. This belt has no holes. After you set the head (by tucking the flat end of the skin in and squeezing the spiked clip), simply slide the tail right through it until it clicks and pull on the head to release. The rectangular tension that leaves irreversible fold marks on the belt is not necessary! Simple and beautiful.
