I bought this inverter as a camping power source. It provided power for some small electronics and most notably our induction cooker which we cooked while camping. I wanted a pure sine wave inverter so I could be sure it would work with whatever I add to it and I also don't like the audible noise made by modified sine wave devices. I was concerned I might have to buy a 2000W model as some inverters can't deliver their full power rating and I needed the full 1500W for an induction cooker and kettle. I went with the 1500w model hoping it would consistently deliver rated power over a long period of time and I'm very happy to report that it performed better than expected. I was able to extract 1800 watts of power from the device and operate my induction hob with a full 1800 watts. A closer look at the specs in the manual shows that the overload protection kicks in between 1500w and 1800w, the unit put out the full 1800w and I am very impressed with how capable it is. The fans are temperature controlled and have not turned on since I've had the unit. I like this because the device is silent until it warms up and needs to be cooled.
