Review on πŸ” Transparent Anti-Collision Silicone Sealing Adhesive by Charles You

Doesn't look sticky, but beware of large gaps

During a very cold winter, the cracks in our exterior doors became apparent. Stuffing them with rags was painful and super tasteless. We put insulators in the door frames, but they crush or fall off, hence our current gaps. . . and it was too cold to try to glue anything new in the frame. I was cautiously optimistic about this product. However, the reviews seemed positive and I was desperate so I gave it a try. Basically, I was afraid that it would look very tasteless and shabby. I have the transparent version. I was pleasantly surprised that he seemed so reserved. He does NOT yell "Look at me!". It was very easy to install and even rearrange. I was nervous that I would crook it and then get stuck in it, but I was able to take it off and keep moving without losing my footing. I used it myself without outside help. I used a ladder for really tall front doors. The only reason I deducted a star is because my house was well established enough to create large gaps in the doors and 25mm wasn't wide enough to fully cover the largest gaps. . So I still have a leak. I should have measured better and gotten a wider version for the bottom of the door. So where I have normal distances, it covers well. There was a large gap where I sank, not wide enough to block all the air. So my advice is to look at your worst spots, measure them and make sure you get a wide enough seal. Otherwise, I recommend it as a viable solution.
