I purchased this item because the joycons that came with my console had issues that recalibrating didn't fix. I'm so used to playing with joycons after only using them for a year. They were very handy as standalone controllers, with or without a shell. I still want to fix or replace the joycons one day when I have more multiplayer games. It took me a day to get used to the new controller, but it already feels just as comfortable, if not more so, than the joycons in the joycon shell. It is heavier, but does not cause discomfort, it is comfortable to hold for several hours. Most keys have decent feedback. The battery seems almost as good as the joycons, got mine last week and still haven't charged it since day one. layout and don't have good feedback as they don't protrude at all. I used to be able to shoot a video in the middle of a Splatoon game without getting distracted by the action, but now I feel like I have to stop the action to get to the button. EDIT: Just so you know. It turns out that professional controllers aren't immune to drift. I have some pretty annoying drifts that come and go. I still say that buying one of these is better than buying more of those stupid defective joycons. Need joycons for just one game? A bad remake of an old Pokรฉmon game that no one asked for? The only good thing about joycons is that you can turn them into two tiny controllers, but to be honest I'd rather buy two regular controllers.
