Review on Sony V8-25CLD 8mm / Hi8 / Digital8 Camcorder Video Head Cleaning Tape by Mike Pfettscher

This is clearly a used item but it was stated in the seller's description. But there seems to be more than enough tape left to run several dozen 10-second cleaning cycles. I have family videos from 1988 and I was sure the cassettes were so worn out that I couldn't transfer them to DVD. . In desperation I decided to address the problem of dirty record/playback heads on a Sony Video 8 player. Wow what I thought was lost was found after cleaning the heads with this cartridge. I have video and audio that I haven't seen in thirty years. As others have written in their reviews, this cleaning cartridge is packaged and covered with Chinese letters. But just plug it into your device, run the tape for 10 seconds, and if dirty heads are your problem, voila! So far I have converted about 20 tapes to DVD and they are all as excellent as the recording technology of the time allowed. . My highest recommendation! Get one before you think it's too late to save your family memories.
