Sony V8-25CLD 8mm / Hi8 / Digital8 Camcorder Video Head Cleaning Tape Review

These are a must have if you want to keep the heads (and quality) of your 8mm, Hi8 or Digital 8 camera or deck (all compatible with this one). This product works great. Just let it run for a few seconds while you play and the difference in quality will usually be obvious. If you're having problems with distortion or dropouts in your recordings, this is the solution (if the problem is caused by dirty tape heads and not something more sinister).

So happy with this purchase. I thought all my 8mm cassettes were damaged due to age. I couldn't see any images when I pressed the play button, just a blurry screen. I put this cassette in my two Sony Handycams for 10 seconds and was able to play my cassettes without any problems. This is clearly a used item but it was stated in the seller's description. But there seems to be more than enough tape left to run several dozen 10-second cleaning cycles.
