Review on ๐Ÿฅš Brinsea Ovation 56 EX Egg Incubator: Fully Automatic with Humidity Control [One Size] by Marc Gallner

Not impressed at all!

So I have 2 Brinsea 56. As one person wrote it looked like an open box, well its box and inner packaging looked like the last one I received. I wonder if my return was. First I hear and read all the good reviews. In my experience, I'm not impressed. My friend has a smaller version and he too has only problems. Moisture is everywhere. Mine too. I've had better hatch rates with smaller and cheaper incubators. I have more problems with chicks getting stuck in the egg or when they hatch I have problems with splayed legs/feet. Never had this problem with my other cheaper incubators. This isn't my first rodeo but I was hoping to get fewer hands with this incubator but I'll keep an eye on it and make sure the temperature is right and the humidity isn't going down or up. I'm stuck on one of these units because I missed the return window, but the last one is returning. I will consider buying a pajama closet for my future needs. I should add that my first hatch with this incubator messed up some very expensive eggs. I have found several reports that others have had the same issue with this unit as I have and ended up upgrading to a higher quality incubator. The Brinsea may have been good once, but with the two I have you can't convince me they're worth the money. Between me and my boyfriend both have moisturizers everywhere and I'm wasting expensive eggs. It's not just a lemon. BTW I bought expensive eggs, the breeder said she had a Brincy like me, moisture problem and she got rid of it and bought a closet (Dickey) and it works fine. For a little more money you get a device that lasts for many years and excellent customer service, I'm told. Now on the waiting list to get one.
