Review on ViewSonic VG2860MHL 4K Ergonomic Monitor with DisplayPort, HDMI, HD, LCD - ‎3840X2160P Resolution, VG2860MHL-4K by Lorenzo Mims

I am the target audience for this product. I needed a large monitor that could be connected to a variety of devices without requiring very good color or graphics. I will be using it as my work display and have no problem with it meeting my needs for viewing Words, PowerPoint, emails and the occasional YouTube video and movie on this monitor. Ports include DisplayPort 1.2a, HDMI, MHL, DVI, and 4-USB. I was able to unpack it from its secure packaging, connect it to my laptop and turn on the display without much difficulty. Sound quality is solid but not impressive and I haven't had to use the picture-in-picture feature yet, but probably will in the future. The stand and swivel joint of the monitor are fine. The various ports aren't very accessible, but since they're not visible on most models, this doesn't seem to be a new problem. The buttons are also a bit tedious to use, but that's not really the point. In general, do some research on what you need before you buy. If, like me, you're looking for a large, all-purpose monitor that can be connected to a variety of devices, this is the way to go. If you have more advanced graphics needs, keep shopping.
